Enter your numbers. We add about 10% for energy lost while charging.
- Home charging$9.24
- Public Level 2$16.50

How we calculate it
We multiply your battery size by the price per kWh, then add about 10% because some energy is lost as heat while charging. The result is the cost to go from empty to full. Most people charge from about 20% to 80%, so a typical session costs less.
Where to find your numbers
- Battery size: your owner's manual or the manufacturer's website lists usable capacity in kWh.
- Home rate: your electric bill shows the price per kWh. Some utilities offer cheaper overnight rates for EV owners.
- Public prices: check the station list for your city, like Miami, or the network's app.
