Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026. This policy explains what information Thrifty Charging ("we") collects at thriftycharging.com and how we use it.

Information you give us

When you request home charger installation quotes, we collect your ZIP code, where you park, your name, email address, and phone number if you provide it, along with the page you submitted from and the time. We share this with up to three installers serving your area so they can contact you with quotes, as you agreed when submitting the form.

Searches

When you search by city, ZIP or address, we send that location to the U.S. Department of Energy's station API to find nearby chargers. We do not link searches to your identity.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in regions that require it will be asked for consent before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used.

You can ask us to access or delete the information you submitted by emailing hello@thriftycharging.com. California residents may request to know, delete, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
