Tips for cheap charging in Rochester

Rochester is home to Mayo Clinic, and a lot of visitors stay in downtown hotels for days at a time. If you are visiting for appointments, ask your hotel about charging, since a Level 2 plug overnight can cover your driving for the whole stay.

Hospital and clinic garages may limit charging to patients and visitors, and parking there is usually paid. Read the access notes below before you drive over.

Rochester sits on US-52, about an hour and a half from the Twin Cities, and close to I-90. The countryside between towns is mostly farmland with fewer chargers, so leave Rochester with a comfortable buffer, especially in winter.

If a station shows "Price not listed", the network did not publish a rate to the Department of Energy. Open the network's app before you plug in to see the current price.

Frequently asked questions
