Tips for cheap charging in Princeton

Princeton's downtown along Nassau Street and Palmer Square has limited, mostly paid parking. If you are spending a few hours in town, a Level 2 charger in a garage you were going to use anyway can make the parking fee go further.

Princeton sits between New York and Philadelphia, close to US-1 and the New Jersey Turnpike. It is a handy place to compare fast-charger prices per kWh below before continuing either way.

Princeton University events like commencement and reunions in late spring bring big crowds and tight parking. Charge before those weekends or at a station outside the downtown area.

Many homes around Princeton have garages or driveways, which makes home Level 2 charging the cheapest option for most daily driving. Public chargers are best saved for trips and long errands.
